नाहं वसामि वैकुण्ठे योगिनां हृदये न च|
मद्भक्ता यत्र गायन्ति तत्र तिष्ठामि नारद||
Naham Vasami Vaikunthe Yoginam hridaye na cha
mad Bhakta yatra gayanti tatra tishthami NaraDa
O NaraDa! Neither do I reside in Vaikuntha nor in the hearts of
yogis
But I dwell where my devotees sing my glories(naam)||
हर्षेण महता युक्तः सीतादर्शनजेन सः।
हृदयेन गतो रामं शरीरेण तु विष्ठितः।।5.38.72।।
Hanuman
stood there physically, with great joy gazing at Sita, but mentally he was with
Rama.
मनसि वचसि काये पुण्य पीयूष पूर्णाः
त्रिभुवनं उपकार श्रेणिभिः प्रीणयन्तः
परगुण परमाणून् पर्वती कृत्य नित्यं
निजहृदि विकसन्तः सन्ति सन्तः कियन्तः । (नीतिशतकम् (५३/२२१)

Full of pious nectar in mind, words and body,
pleasing the Three Worlds by successive obligations, always making a mountain of
smallest of others' virtue, developing it in one's own heart. How many
good people of such kind are there?
सुखं वा यदि
वा दुःखं प्रियं वा यदि वाप्रियम्।
प्राप्तं प्राप्तमुपासीत हृदयेनापराजितः।।-महाभारत
Happiness or unhappiness, pleasant or unpleasant, whatever destained
happens welcome it with equanimity. Never
allow the pairs of opposites overcome
you.
स
घोषो धार्तराष्ट्राणां हृदयानि व्यदारयत् |
नभश्च
पृथिवीं चैव तुमुलोऽभ्यनुनादयन् || BG CH1.19||
sa ghoṣho dhārtarāṣhṭrāṇāṁ hṛidayāni vyadārayat
nabhaśhcha pṛithivīṁ chaiva tumulo abhyanunādayan
The terrific sound thundered across the sky and the earth, and
shattered the hearts of your sons, O Dhritarasthra.
गुरुचरणाम्बुज निर्भर भक्तः
संसारादचिराद्भव मुक्तः ।
सेन्द्रियमानस नियमादेवं
द्रक्ष्यसि निज हृदयस्थं देवम् ॥३१॥Bhaja
Govindam
Gurucaranambuja nirbhara
bhaktaH samsaradaciradbhava muktaH,
sendriyamanasa niyamadevaM drakhyasi nija hridayasthaM devam

O devotee of the lotus feet of the teacher! May you become liberated soon from the samsara through the discipline of the sense organs and the mind. You will come to experience the Lord that dwells in your own heart.
स कूर्म इव दुर्बुद्धिः काष्ठाद् भ्रष्टो विनश्यति॥
The person who does not heed his well-wishers and friends, owing to his foolishness, meets the same destruction as the stupid tortoise who fell from the stick and died.”
क्षीयन्ते चास्य कर्माणि तस्मिन् दृष्टे परावरे: ।। २-२-८ Mundaka upanisad
bhidyate hridaya-granthi:h-chhidyante sarva-saMshayA:h
kshIyante chasya karmANi tasmin drishte parAvare
Loosened is the knot around the heart ,Slashed are all the doubts
Perished are these chains of Karma ,In that perception of the Supreme
परावर (para-avara), meaning highest and lowest, all-including, the whole extent, here denotes the Supreme that is beyond as well as within, sometimes translated as the transcendent and the immanent.
