राजा महात्मा तेजस्वी यायजूकस्सतां गतिः ॥Ramayan 2.72.15
yā gatissarvabhūtānāṃ tāṃ gatiṃ tē pitā gataḥ ।
rājā mahātmā tējasvī yāyajūkassatāṃ gatiḥ ॥
Your father, the Mahātma, the radiant King,a great performer of Yajñas,
the resort of all good people,went where every being goes ultimately.
येन सर्वमिदं बुद्धं प्रकृतिर्विकृतिश्च या ।
गतिज्ञः सर्वभूतानां तं देवा ब्राह्मणं विदुः ॥ ३१ ॥Mahabharata
yena sarvamidaṃ buddhaṃ
prakṛtirvikṛtiśca yā |
gatijñaḥ
sarvabhūtānāṃ taṃ devā brāhmaṇaṃ viduḥ || 12.261.31 ||
One who
knows the mortality of this whole world, is familiar with nature and its
disorders and one who knows the motion of complete praanivargas, is called recognised
by devas as a Brahma Gyani.
वर्तमानेन कालेन वर्तयन्ति विचक्षणाः॥
gate shoko na kartavyo bhaviShyaM naiva chintayet |
vartamAnena kAlena vartayanti vichakShaNAH ||
One should not mourn over the past and should not remain worried about the future. The wise operate in present.
विचारः परमं ज्ञानं शमो हि परमं सुखम् ॥Yoga vasishta
vicāraḥ paramaṃ jñānaṃ śamo hi paramaṃ sukham ||2.16. 19 ||
Contentment is reckoned as the best gain, good company the right course, reasoning the true knowledge, and quietism the highest bliss.
यो न ददाति न भुङ्क्ते तस्य तृतीया गतिः भवति॥चाणक्यनीति
yo na dadāti na bhuṅkte tasya tṛtīyā gatirbhavati ॥
Wealth gets utilized in three ways:
Donation, consumption and destruction. Wealth of the one who neither gives his wealth for charity nor uses it for appropriate self consumption has a third destination, destruction!
तर्कोऽप्रतिष्ठः श्रुतयो विभिन्नाः
नैको मुनि र्यस्य वचः प्रमाणम् ।
धर्मस्य तत्त्वं निहितं गुहायाम्
महाजनो येन गतः स पन्थाः ॥Yaksha prasna
That is, logic is not stable; Shrutis also
say different things; There is not a single sage whose opinion can be
taken as proof; The element of religion is also mysterious on it. That's
why the path on which the great man walked, the same path should be followed.
अलभ्यं लभ्धुकामस्य जनस्य गतिरीदृशी
|
अलभ्येषु मनस्तापः संचितार्थो विनश्यति. ||
Alabhyam
labhdhukaamasya janasya gatireedrushee.
Alabhyeshu manastapah samchirtaartho vinashyati.
The end result of persons who are deprived of wealth and those who desire wealth and get it , is the same. Those who do not get it suffer from mental anguish and those who have accumulated wealth ultimately lose it..
