What is the use of adding oil after the lamp is extinguished? What is the use of being cautious after the thief comes and leaves? What's the use of having beautiful women when they get old? And what is the use of putting a dam after the floods?

ReplyDeleteAti uttam . Gati uttam. It was an enriching experience to read about the multi manifestations of gati embedded in the verses uploaded in today's long awaited mukundapriya. The antaralaapika was a delightful example of sanskrit wordplay where each word of the final line are the answer for each of the earlier questions and the sentence gives a message about the nature of Dharma.
Gati occurs in varied context , the flight of a bird , a fleeing the thief, the movement of a chariot, the safe haven to a mother's arms and reaching moksha. Each sloka ,painstakingly selected and translated by Sri mukundan expresses pragmatic truth and pragmatic life lessons to elevate ourselves through Gyana and karma.
Thanks for your diligence in grouping these subhashitams so comprehensively. Looking forward to more gems.
very detailed comment.thanks
