ययोर् एव समं वित्तं ययोर् एव समं बलम् ।
तयोर् विवादो मन्तव्यो नोत्तमाधमयोः क्वचित् ॥ १६६ ॥
yayor eva samaṃ vittaṃ yayor eva samaṃ balam |
tayor vivādo mantavyo nottamādhamayoḥ kvacit || 2.166 ||
Only between those who are equal in wealth or strength there can be meaningful controversies not between worst and the best.

then one worry about death in battle?

To whom is a man, destitute of energy, although strong, is not an object of humiliation? Lo! People fearlessly put their foot upon a heap of ashes.
