Just as one who takes a leaky boat to cross the sea will be drowned , any
one who cheats others while taking or giving money will eventually face difficulties.

The
human body, which can award all benefit in life, is automatically obtained by
the laws of nature, although it is a very rare achievement. This human body can
be compared to a perfectly constructed boat having the spiritual master as the
captain and the instructions of the Personality of Godhead as favourable winds
impelling it on its course. Considering all these advantages, a human being who
does not utilize his human life to cross the ocean of material existence must
be considered the killer of his own soul.

The
people in this vast ocean of birth and death are being blown about by the winds
of material dualities. As they flounder in the perilous waters of sense
indulgence, with no boat to help them, they are sorely distressed by the need
to protect their sons, daughters, and wives. Only the boat that is Lord Vishnu
can save them.

Drowning I am in this sea, Of birth , death and life, Because Of the
wind of passion,
Started by the God of love, And because of the burden of attachment, To the son I love, To the wealth that I earned and keep, To the wife for whom I yearn, And so giver of blessings, Please be kind to give me a place, In the boat of devotion , To thine lotus like feet and save.

( This is an oft quoted verse from srimad Bhagavatham )
"For one who
has accepted the boat of the lotus feet of the Lord, who is the shelter of the
cosmic manifestation and is famous as Mukunda or the giver of mukti, the ocean of the material
world is like the water contained in a calf's hoofprint. Param padam, or the place where there
are no material miseries, or Vaikuntha, is his goal, not the place where there
is danger in every step of life."

friendship.

When the mind runs after the wandering senses, it
carries away his discrimination as the wind carries away a boat on waters.

Even those who are considered the most sinful of all
sinners can yet cross over this ocean of material existence by the raft of
divine knowledge.

Learning without grammar (i.e. not learning fundamentals, only
surface), crossing river using boat which has a hole, and consuming medicines
without following the instructions of the physician,It is better to avoid these
three things rather than doing them this way. It is advisable not to do
something rather than doing it improperly.
