असम्भवं हेममृगस्य जन्मः तथापि रामो लुलुभे मृगाय |

Knowing
fully well that a Golden deer is an impossibility, Rama was lured in to chasing
it. When time is unfavourable , even
wise men are prone to error of judgement.
त्रैलोक्य नाथो रामोस्ति वसिष्टो ब्रह्मपुत्रक: I

I am not sure about the accuracy of this sloka.I would appreciate If some one could point out any correction )
Rama
was an avathara of the lord of the three worlds. Visishta, the son of Bhramaji. The muhurtha for coronation was
fixed by the great Visishta himself. But, Rama had to leave for the forest. And
not only that, Sita was abducted by Ravana in the forest , which made Rama and
Lakshmana completely shattered. If Bramha rushi’s plan itself can go wrong what about ordinary mortals?
Bhartruhari
in niti satakam ( verse-86 ) states that fate is inescapable:
Sasi
divaakarayor graha piidanam
gaja bhujnga
vihangama bandhanam
matimataam ca
vilokya daridrataam
vidhir aho
balavaan iti mee matihi.
Observing
the eclipse of the sun and the moon by the planets ( rahu and kethu ),
captivity of elephants, serpents and birds, and the state of poverty of men of wisdom, it is clear that fate is un surmountable.
In
Thirukkural also a lot is mentioned about the power of providence
Oozhin peru vali yaa ula? Marronru
Suzhinum thaan munduurum.
Kural-380
What
powers so great as those of Destiny? If man contrives Some thing; fate's beforehand still.
