SURYA ASHTAKAM- -सूरः, सूर्यः, अर्यमा, आदित्यः ,रवि:

SUBHASHITHANI:223
The Surya Ashtakam,  is a prayer in praise of the Sun God, Surya. All life generates from the heat and light of the Sun. Without Surya, the entire universe would be covered in deep darkness and creation itself wouldn’t have any meaning.

From ancient times hindus  believed worshipping the Sun God would clear off all their sins. Surya, the Sun God, was the son of Sage Kasyapa and Adhithi. He rides a huge chariot driven by Aruna. The God of death Yama and the planet Saturn were his sons. आरोग्यं भास्करात् इच्छेत्We must seek good health from Sun.

आदित्यग्रह स्तोत्रम् । Hymn in praise of the Sun God.

I bow to Aditya, whose complexion resembles the filament of a lotus flower, and who is a witness to all our actions, who is a preceptor to the entire world, and who can remove all diseases.
