If he has a meaningful dialogue and communion with the one who has a sweet relationship with his friend, then there is no one as virtuous as him.

Whence, what, by whom, how long, when, where,
And how deserved is good or ill,
Thence, that, by him, so long, then, there,
And so, it comes. Fate has its will. - A.W.Ryder
( Idea is that every thing that happens now is very much based on our past actions other wise called 'fate')

Desire, sorrow, agony, restraint and calamities – these are the fruits of the tree in the form of sins committed by men.

आपद्-अर्थे धनं रक्षेद् दारान् रक्षेद् धनैर् अपि
आत्मानं सततं रक्षेद् दारैर् अपि धनैर् अपि ४२

One should save his money against hard times, save his wife at the sacrifice of his riches, but invariably one should save his soul even at the sacrifice of his wife and riches.

Life is the quintessential requirement for carrying out the four purusharthas- Dharma, Artha, Kama and Moksha. One who deprives himself of his life deprives everything, or one who saves his life saves everything.

sannimitte varaṃ tyāgo vināśe niyate sati ||1.44 ||

A wise and wealthy person should always give away his wealth for saving the lives of needy persons.  It is preferable to spend it for this noble cause, because ultimately all wealth is destined to be lost or destroyed.

जाति-द्रव्य-बलानां साम्यम् एषां मया सह
मत्-प्रभुत्व-फलं ब्रूहि कदा किं तद् भविष्यति ४५

They are like me as regards kind, substance and qualities ; say then, when and what will be the fruit of my being their leader? ( Chitragriva to the mouse )
