SUBHASHITHANI:137
I
II
Brave men
are not deterred by obstacles on their way. Success and failure are taken in their
stride. The moon rises again as usual after being shadowed by Raahu graha. (
Seems very appropriate after the obstacle faced by scientists of Chandrayaan-2 on 7th sep )
It is much better to be serving under scholars , men
of truth and men of character rather than be a ruler in association with
foolish men.
Honey bees extract honey from flowers without
harming them, milk man milks the cow taking care of the needs of its calves, in
the same way a king should tax his subjects only for their welfare and taking
in to consideration their capabilities.
Like the bee collects honey from various flowers and
stores it carefully , a king should collect taxes from people without any pain
to them and accumulate them for use at an appropriate time.
सञ्चयम् I
We often see that even money earned by honest and
hard work keeps depleting , where as money keeps coming to those who give
generously to others . Seeing this truth, one should not spend his day without
scriptural study for some time, service to others and offering donations to the
needy.
The man filled with desires will find no solace in the forest. On the other hand keeping senses under control is a penance even at home.
If one is sincere in his work and rejects all lustful desires – his own house
becomes a tapovanam.
I
The
results of father’s karma doesn’t affect the son , nor does the son’s karma
affects the father. People are liberated or bound by the effects of their own
karma.
