गजभुजङ्गविहङ्गमबन्धनं
आयुः कर्म च वित्तं च विद्या निधनमेव च।
पञ्चैतानि हि सृज्यन्ते गर्भस्थस्यैव देहिनः ।।Chanakya niti
Aayuh karma cha vittam cha vidyaa nidhanameva cha.
panchaitaani hi srujyante garbhasthasyaiva dehinah.

After
seeing that elephants, snakes and birds are kept captive, that planets torment
the sun and the moon and that learned persons live in penury I believe that
one’s destiny is very powerful.
नाकाले म्रियते जन्तुः
विद्धः शरशतैरपि ।
कुशकण्टकविद्धोऽपि प्राप्तकालो
न जीवति ॥

A being, even when pierced by a hundred arrows, will not die if it is
not his time. Come his time, he will not survive even the touch of a straw

नैव यदा करीरविटपे दोषो वसन्तस्य किम् ।
नोलूकोऽप्यवलोकते यदि दिवा सूर्यस्य किं दूषणम् ।
धारा नैव पतन्ति चातकमुखे मेघस्य किं दूषणम् ।
यत् पूर्वं विधिना ललाटलिखितं तन्मार्जितुं क: क्षम: ।

What blame can we attribute to spring
season if a thorny plant in a desert has no leaves ?;

प्राप्तव्यमर्थं लभते मनुष्यो देवोऽपि तं लङ्घयितुं न शक्तः ।।तस्मान्न शोचामि न विस्मयो मे यदस्मदीयं न हि तत्परेषाम् ।।
What's duly his, a man receives; This law not even God can break;Therefore I am neither surprised, nor I grieve; For what is mine, no strangers take.

events from the forehead of human beings which is written at the time of birth.
अवश्यं हि अनुभोक्तव्यं क्रुतं कर्मं शुभाशुभं ।
नाभुक्तं क्षीयते कर्म कल्पकोटी शतैरपि ।।
Pleasure or pain, the result of past deeds ( Karma ) , must have to be gone through by every one. The unfulfilled Karma never ceases to exist, not even after billions of years.
