In a family where husband and wife bring happiness mutually  to each other,  such a place is a veritable heaven on earth (always cheerful and happy ).

I obtained ‘Narayana’ manthram from the lord. The chanting of his name secures the following to me : Gives birth in a noble family; gives aiSwarya (here and here after)...

A country is ruined when its people lose faith in the almighty. A ritual (for the dead) is
flawed if it is done with unfit recipients. Charity to some one who is not well versed with the scriptures is a waste. A whole family gets ruined if it forgets the traditions of the past.

One should abandon a person who brings bad name to the family. For the sake of a village, a family which brings bad name, can be abandoned. A village, which causes disrespect to the country, can be abandoned. One should abandon the place he is living, if it brings troubles to oneself. Alternate interpretation is as follows:
“Sub ordinate (neglect) the interest of an individual for the sake of the family, of the family to sub-serve the interest of the village, of the village in the interest of the state; [give up] all wordly interest in order to attain eternal bliss (Atman)”

Neetigyaa sheelasampannaa  bhavanti  kulapoojitaa.
Learned and virtuous persons take special care to train their children in various disciplines of  knowledge, so that in future they become virtuous and  expert statesmen and their family is honoured by the citizens.

Therefore kings gather round themselves men of good families, for they never forsake them either at the beginning, the middle or the end.
।Chanakya niti
What is the use of having many sons if they cause grief and vexation? It is better to have only one son from whom the whole family can derive support and peacefulness.
।Chanakya niti
Though men be endowed with beauty and youth and born in noble families, yet without education they are like the palasa flower which is void of sweet fragrance.
।Chanakya niti

A man's descent may be discerned by - his conduct, his country by his pronunciation of language, his friendship by his warmth and glow, and his capacity to eat by his body.
।Chanakya niti
In this world, whose family is there without blemish? Who is free from sickness and grief? Who is forever happy?
Chanakya niti
Constant application sustains knowledge and character sustains one’s family . While the noble person can be recognized by one’s virtue , anger can be perceived in one’s eyes .
