SUBHASHITHANI:293
You have the right to work, but do not become so degenerate as to look for results. Work incessantly, but see something behind the work. Even good deeds can find a man in great bondage. Therefore be not bound by good deeds or by desires for name and fame. - Swami Vivekananda

boon that we should desire nothing else.

If the very names of these three things, desire, anger, and
confusion of mind, be destroyed, then will also perish the evils which flow
from them.

The Supreme Lord said: It is lust alone, which is born of contact with
the mode of passion, and later transformed into anger. Know this as the sinful,
all-devouring enemy in the world.

While contemplating on the objects of
the senses, one develops attachment to them. Attachment leads to desire, and
from desire arises anger.
Anger leads to clouding of judgment,
which results in bewilderment of the memory. When the memory is bewildered, the
intellect gets destroyed; and when the intellect is destroyed, one is ruined.

One must get over lust by teaching oneself detachment. By giving up
lust, one can give up anger. One will give up greed once he realises that
wealth is the source of so many miseries. Fear can be let go by proper
understanding of scriptural truth.
