The wealth earned by a miser, is not for religious
austerities , not for charity,
not for
relatives and not for a seeker, it indeed gets stolen by thieves.

Not stolen by thieves, not seized by
kings, not divided among brothers, not
heavy to carry. The more you spend, the more it flourishes always. The wealth
of knowledge is the most important among all kinds of wealth.

Those kings who do not protect the people are thieves who rob people of
one sixth of their income in the form of tax. Such kings and the wealthy who do
not do charity Inspite of their capacity to do it will go to Hell after death.

The punishment for a thief is death. The punishment for the prostitute
is shaving off her hair. The punishment for wife is to make her sleep away from
her husband. The punishment for the friend is to avoid conversation.

Misers dislike beggars , fools hate their teacher, to an adulterous woman her husband is
like an enemy, thieves think of the moon as their enemy.

Desirous to disprove the popular belief among musicians that one will be
without food if he sings the rāga Āhiri during day, a smart
chap went to a forest in the early hours of the day, hung his food basket on a
leaning bamboo tree and started singing soulfully. Once the Sun rose high, so
did the bamboo. And by lunch time, bamboo was no longer bent; Sun was the real
thief! (Maskarah-Bamboo; Ahaskarah- creator of day-Surya )

If the head of the family is careful, thieves will not be able to get
into the house.
This applies also to thieves who rob the family of their virtuous
ways by corrupting their thought with impure ideas.

The celestial gods, being satisfied by
the performance of sacrifice, will grant you all the desired necessities of
life. But those who enjoy what is given to them, without making offerings in
return, are verily thieves.
