Unbridled Lust, anger and greed stay like thieves
in the body and mind of all human beings in this world and destroy their power
of discriminating between right and wrong. Therefore, beware and wake up, wake
up from this stupor.
Sri Krishna mentions in Bhagavad Gita:

BG 16.21: There are three gates leading to the hell of
self-destruction for the soul—lust, anger, and greed. Therefore, all should
abandon these three.

Excessive generosity lead to the capture
of Bali.
Excessive pride lead to the downfall of Suyodhana.
Excessive infatuation led to the
destruction of Ravana.
Thus, excess should be avoided in every
aspect.

Greed is the root
cause of all types of evils and crimes as also dangers. Greed is also the seed
of enmity between persons and excessive greed
results in total destruction.

Lust, anger, greed, pride, happiness and arrogance, all
these six emotions, which always occupy the mind and body of a person,
must be subdued or controlled assiduously.
