Education protects one like a mother, takes care of the
welfare like a father, when one is tired and fatigued, helps in rejuvenating
and provide comfort like a consort, gives wealth, spreads ones fame in all
directions; Like a kalpa vruksha there is no wish that knowledge( Vidyaa )
cannot provide .
न चोर हार्यं न च राज हार्यं न भात्रू भाज्यं न च भारकारि!
व्ययं कृते वर्धत एव नित्यं विद्याधनं सर्वधनप्रधानम!!
It cannot be stolen by thieves, Nor can it be
snatched away by kings, Cannot be divided among brothers, Not heavy either. If
spent daily, it indeed always keeps growing. The wealth of knowledge is the
precious of wealth of all.

Sl-19-Niti satakam
Knowledge adds
to a man’s beauty. It's a safe and hidden treasure. It provides prosperity,
fame and happiness. Knowledge is also
the guru of gurus. During foreign visit, knowledge is our kin. knowledge is
worshiped as god. It is the knowledge, not wealth, which is adored by kings.
Without knowledge one is truly an animal.

That which destroys vanity is vidya- True knowledge.
That which satisfies the needy is true wealth. That which is true to dharma is
Wisdom.

न शोभन्ते निर्गन्धा इव किंशुकाः ॥
Men endowed with beauty and youth and born of a
noble race but deficient in learning, do not shine as the scentless ‘ Kimshuka‘
flowers.

Knowledge imparts modesty. Through humbleness comes
eligibility. From eligibility comes wealth. Wealth can be utilized to perform
good deeds (dharma). Good deeds lead to
happiness.
