TRUSTING THE SERVANTS -PTML4

 SUBHASHITHANI:393

Words of wisdom exchanged between Hiranyaka ( the mouse)and Chitra griva( the dove king):

व्योमैकान्त-विचारिणो ऽपि विहगाः सम्प्राप्नुवन्त्य् आपदं
बध्यन्ते निपुणैर् अगाध-सलिलान् मीनाः समुद्राद् अपि
दुर्नीतं किम् इहास्ति किं सुकृतं कः स्थान-लाभे गुणः
कालः सर्व-जनान् प्रसारित-करो गृह्णाति दूराद् अपि २२

durnītaṃ kim ihāsti kiṃ ca sukṛtaṃ kaḥ sthāna-lābhe guṇaḥ

 kālaḥ sarva-janān prasārita-karo gṛhṇāti dūrād api || 2.22 ||

Calamities await birds that soar securely in the sky, while fish are caught by experts from unfathomable depth of the sea waters; and what consequence is punyam or papam in this world, and of what use is a secure place in this world? For the lord of time ( Kaalaa), with his out stretched hands, catches all creatures even from a distance.

  1. Qualities of a ruler : respect begets gratitude, the grateful servant will stand by the master even in adversity. A master ( employer) should share his profits with his employees to have goodwill.
    “ United we stand, divided we fall”, the group goes with such a leader.
    Good association is precious, good associates make a task easy, even a wise and wealthy person should seek good company. Man is not an island, he is a social being; better that he has good company .
