na
viśvased aviśvaste viśvaste'pi na viśvaset |
viśvāsād bhayam utpannaṃ mūlāny api nikṛntati || 2.44 ||
Don’t trust a person untrustworthy, also don’t trust one who has won your confidence for faith has its own limits; The evil that trust brings Leaves you totally destroyed.

na
badhyate hy aviśvasto durbalo 'pi balotkaṭaiḥ |
viśvastāś cāśu badhyante balavanto 'pi durbalaiḥ || 2.45 ||
One who never trusts
anyone easily, although weak, is not destroyed by even the powerful; but those
who trusts others easily ,though strong, are quickly destroyed even by the
weak.
