Even when weapons are
raised and relatives are killed , a messenger should not be killed by a king,
even if he speaks unpalatable words. ( Rabbit messenger to the elephant king )
The crow continued with further narratives as to why the owl should not be made the king.
शशकपिञ्जलकथा- The story of rabbit and the sparrow
Once there lived a sparrow in the hollow of a tree. It went out for seeking food and didn't return for some time. In the mean time a rabbit came and occupied the hollow in the tree. A few days later the sparrow returned and claimed the place. Unable to solve the issue the two of them went for justice to a cat acting like a saint. Needless to say both lost their lives.

neither a witness nor documentary proof is needed.
