Where a project is started with enthusiasm, no let up of any kind and a combination of proper planning and courage, goddess maha Lakshmi resides in that place permanently.

ஊக்க முடையா னுழை.- Thirukkural-549
Behold the man who remits not ever from exertion; good fortune ( Lakshmi) will find its own way  to his home to dwell permanently.

तद् दैवम् इति सञ्चिन्त्य त्यजेन् नोद्योगम् आत्मनः
अनुयोगं विना तैलं तिलानां नोपजायते १४५

cātakaḥ ko varāko 'yaṃ yasyendro vārivāhakaḥ || 2.147 ||

Such people are praiseworthy who act with resolution once having decided on certain course of action; mere high position is of no use; of what consequence is the poor chataka bird which has Indra for its water-bearer?

strī-vākyāṅkuśa-vikṣuṇṇo yāvan no dhriyate balāt ||2.148 ||

A man is able to manage all his activities independently so long as he is not forcibly held back by his wife’s advice.

( In the "story of a jackal following a bull"- The wife says angrily to her husband that the scrotum of the bull will fall and he should get it, as she is bored of eating rat meat every day. )

அறவினையும் ஆன்ற பொருளும் பிறவினையும்
பெண்ஏவல் செய்வார்கண் இல். Thirukkural-909
No virtuous deed, no seemly wealth, no pleasure, rests
With them who live obedient to their wives' behests.

agnihotra-phalā vedāḥ śīla-vṛtta-phalaṃ śrutam |
rati-putra-phalā dārā datta-bhukta-phalaṃ dhanam || 2.150 ||

Vedas bestow the benefits due to performing of agnihotra; development of good character is the result of scriptural study; the reward of wives is love and children; the benefits of prosperity are enjoyment and charity.
