STHANABRASHTAA- स्थानब्रष्टा - OUT OF PLACE

SUBHASHITHAM : 071
स्थानब्रष्टा शोभन्ते दन्ता: केशा नखा नरा: I
इति विज्ञाय मतिमान् स्वस्थानं परित्यजेत् II
Sthaanabrashtaa na shobhate dantaa: keshaa nakhaa naraa: I
Iti vigyaaya matimaan svasthanam na parityajet II
Teeth, hair, nails, and men do not look graceful if they abandon their respective place. Knowing this a wise person should not leave his place.
जलात् बहिर्म्रुतो मीन: प्रगल्भस्तु तदन्तरे  I     स्थान भ्रष्टो भवेदेवं  II
Jalaat bhahir mruto meena: Pragalbhastu tadantare I Sthana bhrashto bhaved evam II
Outside water fish cannot survive. But, is comfortable inside water. One who is out of place feels the sameway.
सीता त्वया हीना अहं अपि राघव  I
मुहूर्थं अपि जीवाव: जलात् मत्स्यौ इव उद्धृतौ II Ramayana-ayodhya-53-31
Na chaSitatvayaa heenaa na cha aham api Raghava I Muhurtam api jeevaava: jalaat matsyau iva uddhrutau. II
Lakshmana to Sri Rama: “Rama! Separated from you, Sita and myself  cannot live even for a minute , just as a fish cannot survive when thrown out of water.
स्थानाष्वेव नियोज्यन्ते भृत्यास्चाभरणानि I
हि चूडा मणि: पादे प्रभवामि इति बद्यते II
Sthaneshveva niyojyante bhruyaaschaabharanaani cha I Na hi chudaamani: paade  prabhavaami iti bhadyateII
Servants and ornaments should be placed in the right place. Based on ego will anybody wear the necklace on one’s legs?
स्थानमुत्स्रुज्य गच्छन्ति सिंहा: सत्पुरुषा: गजा: I
तत्रैव निधनं यान्ति काका : कापुरुषा : मृगा : II
Sthaanamutsrujya gacchanti simhaa: satpurushaa: gajaa: I Tatraiva nidhanam yaanti kaakaa: kaapurushaa; mrugaa: II
Lions,good men, and elephants leave their places and go elsewhere; while crows, cowardly men and deer perish in their own places. 
 रागादि दूषिते चित्ते नास्पादि मधुसूदन: I
बध्नाति रतिं हंस: कदाचित् कर्दमंभसि II
Raagaadi dooshitee chitte naaspadi madhusudhana: I Na badhnaati ratim hamsa: kadaachit kardamambasi II
Sri Krishna doesn’t like to stay in the heart of those whose minds are filled with  raagaa and dveshaa. The swan dislikes tobe in muddied water.
