(Harih Om, Salutations to Mother Lakshmi) By Obtaining Whose Grace through Her Beautiful Soft Glance, Lord Brahma, Indra and Gangadhara (Shiva) become Great,
O Mother, You blossom in the Three Worlds like a Lotus as the Mother of the Vast Family; You are Praised by All and You are the Beloved of Mukunda.

To the Hari who wears supreme happiness as Ornament,
The Goddess Lakshmi is attracted,
Like the black bees getting attracted,
To the unopened buds of black Tamala[1] tree,
Let her who is the Goddess of all good things,
Grant me a glance that will bring prosperity.

AdiyEn performs Prapatthi to MahA Lakshmi (the refuge for all the beings of the world / SarvalOka SaraNyai) as one, who has no other refuge. She is the Mistress of the widely spread and limitless Iswaryam (wealth). She is the MangaLam (Auspiciousness) of all MangaLa vasthus and Tatthvams. She is the embodiment of all MangaLams. She adorns the chest of Her Lord with Her divine and incomparable JyOthi. She is the Vara Lakshmi (boon-granting Lakshmi) for all, who are eager to gain Her anugraham both in this and the other world.
कमले कमला शेते हरषेते हिमालये । क्षिराब्धौ च हरिषेते मन्ये मत्कुण शन्कय। ॥
On the lotus sits Goddess KamalA (LakShmi), Hara (Lord Shiva) resides in the HimAlayAs. In the vortex of the churning ocean resides Hari (Lord VishNu), I know this precisely.
