One who remains ignorant even after having an excellent guru is like a fool, who remains thirsty inspite of being near a water body , who remains hungry at home inspite of huge stock of grains, one who is under a kalpa vruksha ( wish yielding tree ) and still a poor. विद्वत्त्वं दक्षता शीलं सङ्कान्तिरनुशीलनम् ।

A sishya without a guru is like, a cow bereft of milk, a creeper without flowers, wife without moral conduct, a pond without lotuses, knowledge without controlled mind, city without people.

brightness ( wisdom) . Therefore the word ‘guru’ represents dispelling of
darkness by brightness ( ignorance by knowledge ).

One’s physique may be superb, one’s consort likewise, one’s reputation resplendent and renowned, and one’s riches as high as Mount Meru; yet if one’s mind be not centred upon the lotus feet of the Guru, what then, what then, what then?

What is the use of talking about crores of scriptures. It is a fact that without 'Gurukrupa' mental peace is impossible.
