TREES- VRUKSHAAH - ( वृक्षा: )

SUBHASHITHAM:124

Nothing fructifies beforehand-neither the form, nor the family background, not even one’s virtues, nor even the education, not also the painstaking service rendered to the community. It is the fortune of a person accrued by the performance of penance that yields fruits in due course, like the tree which yields fruits when it is time.”

Trees give shade to others, while standing in the heat themselves. They bear fruits for the benefit of others –Trees are like the virtuous.

Birds of different species and colours  ascend on a big tree as their  shelter during the night and  next day at the day break they again proceed in different directions. What is there to grieve about ?
( Separation after meeting is a regular feature of this world ! )

A tree that fruits in th' hamlet's central mart,
Is wealth that falls to men of liberal heart.

Unfailing tree that healing balm distils from every part,
Is ample wealth that falls to him of large and noble heart.

One must always take shelter of a big tree with lots of fruits and shade. In case due to bad luck, there are no fruits - still you will have the shade. Who can take that away from you?

Giving advice or guidance to persons devoid of inherent qualities does not produce any fruitful results. See, the bamboo grown in Malaya mountain along with Sandalwood trees do not become fragrant like the sandal- wood trees.
